Swimming

On 7/12/15 we did swimming you got to choose out of freestyle,backstroke,breaststroke,medley (all of them). if you were in a championships we would go after we did the non-competitive swimming after we got the  championships and non-competitive swimming done we did board races after that we finally got to have a free swimming it was so much fun and I would do it again.

Horror movie

Me and my friends are going to make a movie when we have finished all of our work it is going to be about three sister who turn into ghost and try to scare out them or kill 

Wining a bike !!!

On Sunday my school had A Gala at the Gala all of the children from College Street Normal School were in a draw to win a bike first the winner from the Junior syndicate was called out  when the middle syndicate winner was called out finally the senior syndicate was called out and out of two hundred people I won my heart just exploded when my name was called out so I when up on stage to get my bike I was so surprised when I got it.

Dance off

On Tuesday we did a dance off I got teamed up with Alyssa,Jacob and Sam B. You had to make up a dance routine in 10 minutes we failed to complete our dance so we did not make it to the finals 

Working with boys

On Tuesday we had you make a car out of four straws.four skewers, cardboard,50cm of tape and foam. Me and my friend Alyssa got put with two ever annoying boys called Matthew and James It took us awhile but we finally did it with help from the teacher but we came third to last back we did it.

Going for a Sleepover

In the hoildays I went to my friend Alyssa's house for a sleepover and we played the Wii for most of the time and she bet me most of the time I bet her sometimes if I was lucky at night we did not get to sleep until 12:30am. In the morning her cousin came for a play date.

The Mind Lab

On Tuesday we when to Wellington to go to a place called Ming lab we had to get to school between 7:30 and 7:45 some of us went on the bus and some of us went in a car  when we got there the first thing we did was get put into groups. 

Some of us did car making you had to make a car that can move with a motor. 

Some of us did pen spin you have to make a machine out of a plastic cup,three pens,rubber bands and a motor some of us did it some of us didn't like me. 

Some of us did 3D printing when you make something like your name and you print it out and it is 3D. 

Some of us did the MaKey MaKey and we had wires and a little plate that had keys from a computer on it and and we attach the wires to the plate then the other end of the wire we could attach to anything we want to see if it will work. 

In the end we all had we were all tired but we had fun 

The note

As I floated away into the sky  I thought of all the places I went  to London ,New Zealand and Australia as I closed my eyes 

When I woke up someone was carrying me it was a Girl in a blue top and dark blue pants she had a smile on her face and she had her hair up in a plat.I was suddenly in a small room with three other people and this weird looking thing it had fur all over itself and it was licking me all over like I was food.They all started to talk one of them said what they should take me back the other one said what they should keep me and use me to get food I liked the second person idea.

In the end they choose the idea I liked I was happy with what so we all went out to see what to get. We were there for hours but they desired to spend me on food for them I was happy to have help them but I was ready to help another Family.     

   

Learning how to play a new game

Today I got to learn how to play a new game so you are not allowed to touch the ground but if you are touching something you are allowed to touch the ground so if someone is not touching something while they are touching the ground then you can said bused and they are in and anyone can said it.

GRi11 Industries

This term we have been learning about business so we have been making real business and making real products my group is making bookshelves and we are selling them for real money 

Daffodil day

At CSNS we celebrated Daffodil day most of us dressed in yellow and we all had a gold coin donation 

My highlight of term two

There are a lot of things I love this term  but my favourite thing would have to be Go For Gold Art. I love art and it was an amazing opportunity to get to do art every Wednesday. My favourite thing about Go For Gold art is that we don't draw people we draw feelings like blue is sad red is angry yellow is happy.

A trip to planet earth

Welcome to planet earth i am going to show you around earth and what you need to know about earth.

1-here are what we call house we live in them we don't use them to attack us

 

2-we have thing called cat,dogs,guinea pigs,fish,bunny/rabbits and horse etc you don't eat 

them hui you get what out of your mouth and listen 

4-this is water we use it to stay alive and clean ourselves you may touch.

5-there is also fire that you do not want to touch or you will get brut ouch i told you.

6-you see over there that is a mountain that has a very pout top some over the mountain are not mountains they are volcanoes are filled with fire but we call it lava so don't fall in it 

7-we have beaches and they are all water and sand (ocean or sea) and that is where we go fishing to catch fish

8-here we have a school now schools have kid what are little people so they come here to learn 

9-and here we have work this is where the big people go and learn and work to get money 

 

The mud run

To Livvy  

As I raced to catch up to everyone I thought this is going to be awesome we walked past the most beautiful lake I had ever seen. I jump over the fence to see a hill of green and brown mud.

I felt a shiver run down my spine how can people get into that stuff what was I getting myself into.When it was my turn to do the mud run I felt my hands and feet shaking and I could feel my heart beating I slipped down I could feel the mud squeezing through my toes. As I kept on going I had to cross a lake full of mud. Everyone was throwing mud at each other and me I race up the hill as fast as my two leg could carry me there was no way you could get me back in there again one of the girls dived into the mud and she had her hair down (weirddough). I will see you soon

About:how we learn in GRi11 

Here are a few thing what makes GRi11, GRi11 we have two very funky teachers,computers and sixty very smart kid there are lots more thing that make GRi11 GRi11 these are only a few thing.

This is how we work in GRi11 

We have to plan that we are going to be doing for the day.Then once we have finish what we are doing we put it into fast tack so the teacher know what we have done.We also have a time 

limit on friday you have to have everything done so that is how we work in GRi11 

google classroom and google drive as help me manage my own learning because I have to get it done on time on it would say late and you do not want it to say I think that it helps me to manage my own learning because it is a fun way to learn and all of as loves to do it and so do I.

I would not change anything I think GRi11 is perfect just the way we are  

The treasure of the God of the sea

Down, down, down.....ken went into the black waters "This must be it" ken said with a puff  he jumped out of the cold and wet water.Ken walked along the cave until ken saw what he had been looking for the treasure of Atlantis."No one has ever seen it before I will become history" ken shouted at the top of his lungs."you will not steal the treasure of Atlantis" said a strange voice in the corner  "Who are you and what are you doing here" he said confused "I am the god of the sea and it is my duty to protect the treasure of Atlantis" "duty ha ha you said duty you said duty" he said with a laugh " ha ha every funny now go home and every return or you will face the consequences" The God of the sea said in a deep voice then he disappeared into the darkness "no way man I am taking it all"

Next year

"Welcome all to the opening of the new museum I am your host Lily gold and I would love to announce that the museum is finally open" three hours later..."look mama it is a flying stick" a little boy said with amazement "oh on it is true" ken whipped-shouted everything was starting to freeze "you had been warned and now you will pay the price" the god of the sea shouted " that can I do to stop you doing this" ken shouted at the God of the sea "bring me back the treasure you have until midnight tomorrow or the world will end because of You"  the God of the sea shouted back at ken."I have to give it back to him or the world will end can I please have" ken asked the owner "you may take it I don't want the world to end went I could of done something" the owner replied "thank you I will return" ken told him.

"This is the place I remember here i go I have five minutes" ken dived into the water finally ken jumped up "I have two more minutes" ken said with a smile "so you have chosen to be smart thank you the world shall live in peace" the God of the sea announced.

cross country [new report]

Raven bird:Welcome to 10 New I am raven bird  tonight we will be reporting live from college street normal school about their cross country we will be talking  to Alyssa smiler.

Zia : so I hear that you did the cross country.

Alyssa smiler: yes.

Zia: can you tell us a little bit about the cross country.

Alyssa smiler: well we all have to get on the bus to go out to the farm because we do our cross

country on a farm so the year six's that is me we are last to have our ran so we have to wait for a long time and we have to do the longest run and it is so muddying that it stuck to my legs but my friend Wendy fell over in the mud.

Zia:wow that would've been weird to see,so the did you come.

Alyssa smiler: it was so I came 13th and my friend Sophie palmer came in the 20 section and Ella hainworth came 4th.

Dear Miss Holder and Mr Kennedy

We all think that the way that we are learning is a great way to learn because we get to  choose what we do and  where we sit. We all need to learn to manage our own learning  at some point so why not now.

I think you should come and see us in action in our class at some point.learning this way has made me want to come to school more than I have in the last few years. I love learning this way and we don't want you to take it away from us so please let us keep it this way.

So please let us have fun in our class we don't want to go back  to TTS     (traditional teaching style) so please don't change GRi11.

My favourite thing to do

My favourite thing to do is: Play with my guinea pigs

Because they are warm, kind, playful, cute and cuddly. Guinea pigs are great pet to have because they are alway warm and kind to you.Except when they pee on you, but do not and I mean DO NOT get a boy and a girl and put them in the same cage or they will have babies. I have five guinea pigs two of them are girls and three of them are boys, they are great lawnmowers because they love grass.   

The man in the mud

Aaaarrrr!!! It's a zombie oh wait it's a person in the muddy water it looks like he's swimming in a marathon.He was trying to stand up,but he keep on going. The mud was squeezing through his feet I could hear it ,and it was all over his face.

He was trying to breath all the time ,I  could see that he was getting tired. I could see him getting up ,he was finally finished and he was smiling with glee he was back.

The camping trip

"Come on Mia and Emma  we are going to be late" Kiana shouted "we are coming Kiana it is just what some of us are tired" Mia shouted back they were going no a camping trip and Kianas mum, dad,Sisters and brother were going to met them there. Kiana has two sisters Mac and Georgia and a brother max.Mac is the oldest then Kiana then max then Georgia. "we are here" Kiana is in amazement "finally" Emma and Mia Said at the same time. "ok let's get to it" said Kiana a few hours later they were all set up and ready for the night."so how is going to get the firewood "not me" everyone shound "you said it last Mia " Emma said " fine I will go" Mia said with a frown.

" why me they know am not a fane of the outdoors" said Mia " we know that Mia is not a fane of the outdoors but she need to learn to be because  the outdoors are amazing look around us it is beautiful and she was the one who agree to this trip" said Kiana quickly " I know so how are we going to get her to learn that it is beautiful" signed Emma. "We can't tech her she has to tech herself" Kiana said with a grin " I don't get it" Emma said confuse. " don't worry I have a plan

Come here" has Kiana whisper into Emma ear what the plan was. Mia was getting  a lot of wood has she was coming back she heard a strange noise coming from the tint Emma and Kiana were pretending to be getting attached by a animal. Mia ran so fast I it was like she wasn't there she kept saying to herself what would" Kiana do. I got it she would make a shelter but what with oh what is around me got it". " well it took me forever but it is done" Mia said with Geel. Emma was saying to Kiana "should we go and tell her that it was a prank" " no

We will have to wait until the morning" Kiana told her. In the morning Kiana and Emma when to go and fine Mia 20 minutes later they finally found Mia in a little hutt  " that are you guys doing here I thought..." but before Mia could finish Kiana said " we fake it so you would lean that nature can help you" " so you helped me" Mia said looking sad " you guys are the best BFFs ever" Mia said looking happy " thank you" " you are welcome so we should go back to the camp before my parents get there" Kiana said in a celerity " let's go" Mia said.

Plane Crash

I heard a little scream coming from the back of the plane. As I got up to investigate the scream got louder and louder until behind a broken tree branch ... I saw a little baby. The baby was about 6 months old and tightly held a toothbrush in its hand. I picked the baby up and took the toothbrush. On the back of the toothbrush was scripted ‘to my little baby Coco’.

As I searched through the smashed and broken plane I found my lunchbox. I looked into my lunch box "good I have some watermelon" I said with glee. "Here you go" "ba ba" Coco replied. I looked down at Coco's leg, she must be in agony. "ok I will get some help just wait here" I said looking worried.

I jumped out of the plane and I ran as fast as my two legs could carry me. As I was running my super man t-shirt got stuck on a branch. When I looked up I finally  saw what I needed, a house with people inside. As I was running  screaming  "help!" I banged my nose on the door but it did not stop me. I got up holding my broken nose. I quickly asked if I could use their phone to call my mum and dad and tell them  what had happened and that I was all right. A few hours later a rescue team came and took us away and gave Coco a new home and got me back home to my parents.
